PMI GAL Public Service Project
PMI Tallahassee Chapter community service project – partner with Guardian ad Litem Foundation Second Circuit for school supply drive July 2019

You may recall hearing that our PMI chapter will participate in a local service project that will align with PMI’s global challenge for 50,000 community service hours. We are pleased to partner with Guardian ad Litem Foundation Second Circuit (GALF2) on a school supply drive for foster children in our local and surrounding counties. The drive will be conducted from now through July 26. Please see the attached flyer.
This is a very short-term project between now and July 27 and we need Chapter member assistance. We are asking for any help that you might provide on this project, even if it is just one small task. Here are some specific needs:
- Talk with your organization or local businesses about being a drop-off location to collect supplies.
- Help get the word out - share the collection drive flyer on your social media, communicate in your workplace, etc.
- Help wrap collection boxes, and take them to local businesses.
- On Friday, July 26, help pick up boxes with donated items and take them to the distribution location.
- On July 26, help organize and sort supplies.
- Saturday, July 27, help pass out supplies at the distribution location.
If you are willing to help, or if you have questions, please send your contact information to pmiboard@pmitlh.org with the subject: GAL VOLUNTEER ASAP. Please include your name, email, phone #.
Thank you in advance.
