PMITLH Lunch and Learn: Immigration Considerations at Work: The H1-V Visa Process
Project management principles and practices abound in almost every aspect of professional and personal life events. At work, we not only need to plan for our daily activities, we also need to obtain adequate skills and talent in our workplaces to provide our service work effectively. In this PMI-sponsored Lunch ‘n Learn event, Elizabeth Ricci, a Tallahassee-based immigration attorney will provide key insights to obtaining talent from other countries via the H1-B visa for specialty workers. She will explain the requirements and process, provide details, outline filing fees, discuss considerations, risks and alternatives as well as answer questions.
Elizabeth Ricci has practiced business immigration for over 20 years and was named the “Go-to lawyer for veterans” by the Philadelphia Enquirer and is a Presidential appointment to the Selective Service System Board. She has appeared on Univision, Fox and Friends, CNN, and in the New York Times. BBC News and MSNBC have both called her “an immigration law expert”. Ricci has taught immigration and written several scholarly articles including an entry in the Encyclopedia of the Supreme Court and for the Harvard G&L Review. Ricci studied International Business, worked at the U.S. Trade Center, Mexico and was a Small Business Development volunteer in the Peace Corps in Guatemala.
