Once again, the Project Management Institute (PMI) Tallahassee Chapter is offering the Project Management Professional (PMP) Exam Prep Boot Camp. This year we will be using materials from one of the leaders in the development of PMP education products, Velociteach. Students will learn the tools and techniques to initiate a project, gather requirements, document a scope of work, determine schedule and budget options, and manage the work once it has begun. Upon successful completion of this class and tracked homework, students will have met the 35-hour training requirement to sit for the exam. Please see the PMI.ORG web site for additional information on exam requirements. Early Registration Period: August 06 thru September 09, 2018 Member Price will be $795, Non-Members $895 Late Registration Period: September 10 thru September 11, 2018 Member Price will be 850, Non-Members $950 To best serve our working professionals, the classes will be held evenings as well as one Saturdays. The presentation will allow attendees the opportunity to understand the different strategies for facilitating productive meetings as well as, for facilitating disruptive behaviors. In addition, the presentation will describe techniques to manage group conflict. I will also share the decision-making tools which can be used to build group consensus as well as clarify the various team roles using appropriate facilitation techniques. Special Announcement: The October dinner meeting is when we elect new board members. This year, we will be electing the following new board menbers: VP Membership, VP Finance and VP Professional Development. You still have time to apply for a position, just fill out the online 2018 Board Member Candidate Information Form by September 26, 2018.
